Special attention is devoted to detailed analysis of surroundings and market, where the company would operate. A view of the company's function is presented by working up of business plan which is the basic document for any new company.
Sterile neutrino physics at NOvA experiment.
Králik, Róbert ; Soustružník, Karel (advisor) ; Zálešák, Jaroslav (referee)
Title: Sterile neutrino physics at NOvA experiment Author: Róbert Králik Institute: Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics Supervisor: RNDr. Karel Soustružník, Ph.D., Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics Abstract: NOvA sterile neutrinos search via neutral current (NC) disappearance analysis is moving to a two-detector fit method to be able to fit to a wider range of sterile neutrino oscillations parameters. This introduces among other things a bigger contribution of the neutrino flux systematic uncertainty, which currently makes up the largest overall uncertainty for the ongoing NC disappearance anal- ysis. This thesis focuses on reducing this uncertainty and looks for different ways of making a more precise prediction of the neutrino flux. We point out Horn-Off analysis as the base for doing so and describe the production of a new Horn-Off simulation and the analysis of the Horn-Off results. We were not able to draw any conclusions that would reduce the NC disappearance systematic uncertainty, but the results showed herein can be helpful in the future attempts at a better neutrino flux prediction and a lower neutrino flux systematic uncertainty. Researches public service television viewer in the Czech republic with a focus on news channel ČT24
Smlsal, Matěj ; Moravec, Václav (advisor) ; Nečas, Vlastimil (referee)
This master thesis focuses on the typology of researches that public service broadcaster Czech television uses to analyse audience feedback - measurement of ratings, contentment and public service. The thesis describes history of TV audience researches from beginnings to the present in Czechoslovakia and the Czech republic as well as abroad. It also mentions problems that the aspiration for perfection of measurement brings. This thesis also addresses the functioning of Czech TV's Research and analysis department and brings original research focused on the influence of survey results over the scheduling of ČT24 programme. The thesis further includes interviews with Renata Týmová, chief of Research and analysis department, and Zdeněk Šámal, manager of news and sports department.

Normalization-era cinematography in Czech current television broadcasting
Jabůrek, Václav ; Štoll, Martin (advisor) ; Cebe, Jan (referee)
There are lots of studies about normalization cinematography, its content or historical context of its creation. But there was no research about its presence in post-communist television broadcast in the Czech Republic. This work takes a look on five biggest TV channels - ČT1, ČT2, Nova, Prima and Barrandov - in eight chosen years between 1994 and 2015. Content analysis shows, how are Czech televisions dealing with movies and series from communist era, and whether there are any long-term trends connected with this genre. Thanks to the research method, we can see how the usage of those titles has developed up to present. Study also focuses on programmes during weekends and holidays and the amount of normalization movies on these occasions. One part of this work is dealing with communist propaganda and its presence in current broadcast. As Harald Welzer's studies show, old movies are hugely affecting people's understanding of historical events. Therefore, this survey focuses on Czechoslovak movies, which are falsifying modern history such as TV series Thirty Cases of Major Zeman or comedy Bourlive vino. Apart from those cases, less propagandistic movies have also been examined. For example those showing idealized image of normalization society and values of the former regime.

New Forms of Reporting in the TV News
Lukašiková, Evženie ; Lokšík, Martin (advisor) ; Géla, František (referee)
Following thesis deals with the question of how the four main television channels in the Czech Republic process and create news. Based on her own observation, the author has tried to find and describe the main tendencies in the field of the television news reporting. The thesis thus gives a general overview of the newsmaking routine according to the specialized literature, but also provides the reader with the results of those observations. The work consists of two parts: the theoretical and practical. The first part starts with the basic components of the news reporting, followed by a more detailed description of the television part. The last part of the theory includes the development trends in the television news and deals with the visual and audial components of the news as well as the role of the reporter in it. The latter includes the verbal as well as non-verbal communication, i.e. linguistics of the news and means of expression of the reporters and news anchors as well as the importance of the reporter and the part he plays in the news. The practical part analyzes given pieces of news, using the information provided in the previous part; the analysis is thus based on the above stated criteria. These analyses should then help to describe the way television works with the news and...
Studium vlastností neutrin pomocí NOvA detektoru
Jelínková, Zuzana ; Soustružník, Karel (advisor) ; Zálešák, Jaroslav (referee)
The NOνA experiment is a long-baseline neutrino oscillation experiment designed to measure electron neutrinos (νe) appearing in the NuMI beam, a muon neutrino (νµ) source at Fermilab. Its two detectors, Near and Far, are functionally identical active tracking calorimeters. This thesis is focused on the relative calibration of the Near Detector. The individual steps of the process, threshold, shadowing and attenuation calibration, are described. For the calibration, NOνA standardly uses cosmic muons. Alternative source, so called rock muons which are muons that originated from interactions of beam νµs with a rock surrounding the Near Detector, is introduced. The thesis guides through the development of selection criteria used to distinguish rock muon tracks from the data. Selected sample of rock muon tracks is used for the relative calibration and at each step the results are compared to the cosmic muons based calibration. The whole analysis is performed using simulated Monte Carlo data. 1
Analysis of sound, visual and content components in sport broadcasting (on example of sport coverages Branky, body, vteřiny on Czech TV and Sportovní noviny on TV Nova)
Prouza, David ; Lokšík, Martin (advisor) ; Macková, Veronika (referee)
In the beginning of the theoretical part this diploma thesis deals with the history of television broadcasting with emphasis on sport content. It continues with analysis of sport news programs Branky, body, vteřiny and Sportovní noviny and deals with their history and progress. In the theoretical part there are also presented visual and sound elements of TV broadcasting (such as shot composition, axis rule, sound, rush etc.). There is also introduced complete process of making television sport story from redactor's point of view. Practical part of the thesis contains, due to the periodic recording of the two sport programs, the presentation of current structure and shape of shows Branky, body, vteřiny and Sportovní noviny. Both programs are processed from the technical point of view (working with cameras in the studio and outside of the studio, working with sound track, expression and pronunciation of anchormen and redactors etc.) as well as from the content point of view, where there is showed three-week analysis of each broadcast day. The analysis is trying to show technical differences between the shows, as well as to present what is their overall structure and also which sports they present the most.
